Don't get stuck in a rut by having the same food for a hen night that you would have for any other party. Get creative and try having fondue as the delicious gastronomic delight to satisfy hunger for this last night of girl fun before the bride's wedding day. The following steps will help you plan a fondue hen party!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Things You’ll Need:

  • Variety of fruits and vegetables
  • Pound cake
  • Cheese sauce
  • Peanut oil
  • Fondue chocolate
  • Fondue pots and skewers

Step1
Determine the number of different fondues that will be prepared for the hen party. For a typical menu you will require one pot for cooking meat, one for melting cheese and one for chocolate.
Step2
Prepare a shopping list from the recipes that you have chosen for your hen party fondue menu. Some items can be purchased a few days in advance, but meats, veggies and fruits need to be purchased the day before the party.
Step3
Wash and dry fruits and vegetables. Cut into smaller pieces if necessary.
Step4
Cut meat into cubes. These will be cooked in very hot peanut oil so cut the cubes large enough so that they do not slip off your fondue skewer.
Step5
Cut cake that is to be to be dipped in the chocolate fondue. Store-bought pound cake is a good choice as it is dense and holds up well in the dipping process.
Step6
Fill your fondue pots with the appropriate ingredients to start the heating process--peanut oil for meat, cheese for bread and veggies and chocolate for fruits and cake. Make certain that all melting pot ingredients are completely melted and ready for dipping by the time your guests arrive.
Step7
Enjoy a unique twist on hen party food!

Tips & Warnings

  • Accommodate vegetarian guests by having a large selection of fruits and vegetables available.
  • Begin the morning of the hen party to prep for the fondue that everyone will enjoy that evening. You don't want to be rushing around in the late afternoon trying to get it all done. The food can be cleaned and cut that morning.
