A debutante ball is a formal coming of age occasion for girls in society. Although several countries have their own variations, there are many common elements. Here are a few fun ways to ensure the girls stay hydrated and refreshed in style.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Determine the number of guests so you will know how much drink you will need.
Step2
Consider serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Drinks for a debutante ball are tricky because this is a party for the girls, but adults will expect that their thirsts are quenched, too. Choose a few options for the debutante's and a few drinks for the adults. Will you serve alcohol or sparkling cider?
Step3
Develop a budget for the drinks. Options include individual drinks to be served by a wait staff, an open bar or a self-serve punch bowl.
Step4
Select a sample from the guest list and ask their beverage preferences. Most debutante balls serve a clear soda (Sprite or 7-Up) and club soda.
Step5
Arrange permission from the events coordinator at the debutante ball location to bring your own drinks if so desired. Some locations will allow you to bring in food and drink, but others forbid it. Make arrangements ahead of time so you aren't caught off guard.
Step6
Determine if you will need to bring serving supplies such as a punch bowl, glasses or napkins. Some locations have supplies for their guests, while other locations simply rent the location and expect you to provide the rest.
Step7
Purchase your drinks and plenty of ice, and set up for the ball.
