Almost everyone loves candles and being with their friends, so a candle party can be a great opportunity to combine the two. Most companies will have a consultant help you with the details of the party, and in many cases you also get free or discounted products based on their sales requirements. With some simple preparation steps, you'll be ready to host a candle party in no time!

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Candle party consultant
  • Invitations, formal or informal
  • Space to hold your guests
  • Place to display the candles
  • Food and drinks

Step1
Research various companies that offer the service of bringing a candle party to your home, and choose the one that best works for you. Do an Internet search or ask your friends who have hosted or attended a candle party before.
Step2
Contact the company or its representative. Usually the company website will have a home office or local phone number, or you can complete some of your contact information and they will have one of their consultants get in touch with you.
Step3
Determine a date and time for your party that works for both you and your consultant. It is best if you can ask a few of your friends first what their availability is as well.
Step4
Invite your friends and family. You can do this in person, via phone, email or mail. Let them know that you would like an R.S.V.P. so that you can plan the space you will need and you can inform the consultant.
Step5
Confirm with your guests who have said they will attend, as well as with your consultant the day before your candle party. Inform your consultant of any changes in the number of people who will be there.
Step6
Prepare your home. The day of your candle party, clear a space where the candles can be displayed and for everyone to sit. Provide a few drinks and snacks as well.
Step7
Assist your consultant in getting set up. Introduce anyone attending to those they do not know and be a gracious host. Plan with your guests how you will deliver to them the merchandise they've purchased once it arrives.
Step8
Complete your order with the consultant, and be sure to thank everyone for attending!

Tips & Warnings

  • Research the candle companies a few weeks ahead of when you want to have your candle party. This gives you time to choose the right consultant.
  • Make sure your guests don't feel obligated to buy. Some may have just wanted to browse or may buy something at a later date.
  • Don't assume that everyone who said they were coming will indeed show up. Confirm with everyone, and if there are no longer enough people for your event, change the date.
  • Don't forget to plan how you will receive products from your consultant as well as how your guests will receive their purchases. Everyone should leave knowing this detail.
