Car shows and muscle cars go together like peanut butter and jelly. Some car afficionados bring their rides just to show off. Others use car shows as an extremely efficient means to advertise a car they are trying to sell. If you are in the market for a muscle car of your own, follow these steps to make a buy at a car show.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get up early! Car shows usually start early in the morning and most car enthusiasts already know this. They are up at the crack of dawn looking for that hot deal.

  2. Step 2

Walk up and down each aisle at the car show. Muscle cars on show are often displayed in front, to entice the enthusiast. Vehicles for sale are usually located in the middle and the back of the exhibit.

  3. Step 3

Inspect your potential purchase prior to making an offer. Before you buy, ask questions. Find out the history of the car and any modifications made to it. Ask if the car has ever been involved in an accident.

  4. Step 4

Take the car for a test drive. As with any used car purchase, you should also arrange to have a mechanic take a look at your dream muscle car to make sure it's in good running condition before you buy.

  5. Step 5

Make a reasonable offer. The asking price of the muscle car is not necessarily what the owner will sell it for. Sellers will usually list a slightly higher asking price, but you can negotiate your way to a good buy.

  6. Step 6

Sign the papers and drive that bad boy home! Enjoy your new set of wheels as you cruise the streets in the muscle car of your dreams.
