Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Find a muscle car expert or garage to help you decide how to go about pimping your car. Muscle cars are pretty unique and restricted to a few different makes and models, like Camaros, Firebirds and GTOs. A generic garage or detailer won't do.
Step2
Budget your pimping. Once you settle on the exact improvements you want to make, you need to figure out how much money you are willing to spend. It's easy to get carried away and go over budget when pimping a muscle car, so get your finances in order first.
Step3
Check your muscle car's paint job. If you want to pimp your ride and show it off, the color and brightness of the paint is very important. A shiny paint job is one of the best ways to get your muscle car noticed. Clean the surface thoroughly, buff off old paint, and apply a fresh coat a few feet at a time.
Step4
Consult muscle car web sites, auto parts dealers and other muscle car owners for specific items you want such as wheel rims, leather seats or seat coverings, stereo or CD systems or even the proverbial fuzzy dice to hang from your mirror.
Step5
Have fun. Whether you decide to splurge and hire a professional or take the time to pimp your muscle car on your own, it will be a blast. You might even want to listen to some Beach Boys songs when you're done.
