Although nothing beats the excitement of attending a horse race in person, you can also watch races from the comfort of your own home on television or from a computer screen. You can even place bets online. Follow these steps.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go online to betting websites to watch live video from racetracks around the country. Sometimes the track where the horse racing is taking place will have the race broadcast on their website for you to watch from home.

  2. Step 2

Watch horse racing on your television at home when big races are scheduled. You can look at the television programming schedule to see when big races are approaching. The most popular races, such as the Kentucky Derby and Breeder's Cup, are shown on television every year.

  3. Step 3

Visit a racetrack to see live horse racing action. Nothing can compare to watching live horse racing from the side of the racetrack. You can start by watching the horses and jockey in the paddock before the race. Then watch the whole post parade, which is not always shown on television or online.

Tips & Warnings
  • When visiting a website to watch horse racing, you may have to sign up to watch a race.
  • Don't expect to see many races when watching a horse race on television. Televised races are often only the most popular races. If you don't want to wait until a popular race is aired on television, go to a racetrack and watch as many races as you want, all in one day.
