Instructions

1
Make a special picture frame at a paint-your-own pottery store. Use the new dad's favorite color to leave tiny footprints on the frame, supplied by his special little boy or girl. Insert a candid shot of the two of them together.
-
2
Take the new dad on a date. Make it special by going to a favorite place he hasn't been since his child's arrival or by going to a place that serves his favorite kind of food.

-
3
Clean his car inside and out, and let him enjoy one day without baby and kid paraphernalia in his vehicle.
-
4
Decorate a plain onesie with a special message from the baby. Use fabric paints and iron-ons. Try "My Daddy is my hero!" or "I get my good looks from Daddy."
-
5
Treat dad to a $20 shopping spree at his favorite store (and no complaining from mom when he gets yet another gadget he already owns).
-
6
Restock dad's tool belt with baby items. Diapers, wipes, pacifiers and bottles can help him tackle his new job with all the right equipment.

Tips & Warnings
No paint-your-own pottery place nearby? Go to a local crafts store and decorate a picture frame with acrylic paint for the same effect.
You can also make sayings for the onesie that reflect Dad's interests. Try "I'm hooked on you, Daddy" for a fisherman, or "Daddy's future MVP" for a sports fanatic.
Resist the urge to use sequins or buttons to decorate the onesie. You don't want to add little things the baby can pull off and choke on.
