    Things You'll Need

    • Wood or cardboard picture frame
    • Buttons
    • Glue gun or glue
    • Craft paint and brush
    • Clear gloss spray enamel, if desired
      • 1

Buy a cardboard or wooden craft picture frame at your local craft store.

      • 2

Choose a package with a variety of colorful buttons; enough to cover picture frame.

      • 3

Choose one small bottle of craft paint in a bright, cheery color. Red, purple, blue or green work well.

      • 4

Paint the picture frame and let it dry thoroughly. Apply a second coat of paint and let this dry completely as well.

      • 5

Apply buttons to the painted frame with a glue gun. Glue them on in a random fashion, using a variety of colors and spacing them however you like.

Spray with a clear gloss enamel if you prefer a shiny look. This can be done before or after the buttons are glued on, but you don't need it to complete the project.
