The world's natural resources will be depleted if there is not a strong effort made to reuse items. It is essential that both individuals and businesses are encouraged to recycle.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look for a cash payment program. Many areas, including San Francisco, are beginning to offer cash to businesses that implement a recycling program.

  2. Step 2

Organize a recycling event. An event that centers on the importance of recycling can encourage more people to begin separating their recyclables from regular trash. You can have recycling games, food and informational packets on the positive effects of recycling.

  3. Step 3

Set an example. If others see that you are recycling and buying recyclable products, they will be encouraged to do the same.

  4. Step 4

Educate children on the importance of recycling. Encouraging the future generation to recycle will make a large impact on the planet.

  5. Step 5

Sign up your organization to participate in a recycling contest. One such contest, the RecycleMania Tournament, has college campuses attempt to collect the most recyclables possible in a 10 week period.
