Clean your trumpet throughly as you were instructed to do when you first purchased it. Clean your trumpet every time you play. If this doesn't solve the problem please continue to the next step.

Call the repair shop and discuss your situation with them. Most will allow you to bring your instrument in and examine it for free. Make sure you ask over the phone if this is possible.

If the repair shop say they need to repair it, shop around at different repair shops to find a decent price for repairs.
Tips & Warnings
quality verus quantity: just because they are the cheapest, doesn't mean they are the best for quality. 'You get what you pad for' really comes into play when you value something special.
