Things You'll Need:
- Spare Tire
- Jack
- Tire Iron
- Something to block your tire
-
Step 1
Pull off the road and find a flat area to park on.
-
Step 2
Set the parking brake.
-
Step 3
Retrieve the spare tire, jack, and tire iron.
-
Step 4
On the opposite side of where the flat is, block the tire with a rock or other large item (the goal here is to keep the car from moving when it is jacked up).
-
Step 5
Loosen, but do not remove the lug nuts. Do this before you jack the car up.
-
Step 6
Jack the car up. Remember to get it up high enough to put on the spare tire.
-
Step 7
Remove the lug nuts, removing the bottom nut last. While removing this last nut, keep you foot against the bottom of the tire.
-
Step 8
Remove the flat tire.
-
Step 9
Place the spare tire on the wheel. Push your foot up against the bottom of the tire to keep it in place.
-
Step 10
Replace the lug nuts, starting at the bottom.
-
Step 11
Tighten the nuts in a criss-cross pattern.
-
Step 12
Lower the car off of the jack.
-
Step 13
Do a once-over final snug of the lug nuts.
-
Step 14
Be sure to pick up all the tools and flat tire.
-
Step 15
Go to the tire store.

on 2/3/2009 Thank you cgc64!! Btw, you are a smokin' hot babe. You are a very attractive young woman and intelligent, I would totally date you if I lived by you, or if you weren't already taken. I also found the tip to push your foot against the bottom of tire helpful! HOLLER! Peace.

on 3/7/2008 I changed my tire successfully, however I had developed a horrible blinker fluid leak. The green fluid was everywhere, but I didn't know where to fill it! Please help me.
