A day horse racing at Ascot can be like being invited to a fancy dress party in the Queen's private garden. Usually sober businessmen, judges and their wives stumble around, champagne in hand, wearing flamboyant hats and colorful clothes, throwing money around, vaguely hoping they'll bag a winning horse. In fact Ascot is one of the few chances you'll have to join such esteemed company.

Book a parking space. Events at the racecourse such as the Royal Ascot are huge and it is advisable to book a parking space beforehand. A space can booked for as much £15 for Royal Ascot and as little as £5 for other events.

  7. Step 7

Go to Ascot by train. A frequent service to Ascot runs from London Waterloo and Reading stations. The racecourse is a 10 minute walk from the train station.
