Once you have determined that you are obese and not just overweight, you may have to adjust your lifestyle accordingly. If you have taken measures to lose weight or are physically unable to lose weight, then you may be wondering how to live with obesity. Many public establishments are not suited for obese people and some adjusting may have to be done on your part. There are ways to ease the burden of obesity in daily living.

Step1
Lighten up on your salt intake. Too much salt can lead to high blood pressure, which is a risk factor of obesity.
Step2
De-stress yourself. Stress also causes high blood pressure. An effective way to live a stress-free life is to stretch every morning. Stretching while listening to tranquil music can not only relieve stress but can also improve circulation, which in turn will lower blood pressure.

Eliminate fried foods from your diet, as another risk factor of obesity is high cholesterol. Fried foods can clog your arteries.

Choose tables instead of booths when eating at a restaurant. Booths are not made for obese individuals and you can save yourself embarrassment and frustration by choosing more flexible seating.

Find out which airlines provide larger seats or do not charge an additional fee for obese individuals to use two seats. There are a few airlines left that still pride themselves on superior customer service. Seek them out and utilize their services instead of those that will not accommodate you.
Step6
Get a memory foam mattress for your bed. Many people that must live with obesity find sleeping very uncomfortable. If the mattress is too hard, it may be difficult fall asleep. If the mattress is too soft, you may wake up with a horrendous backache. The purchase of a memory foam mattress can be a wise investment because the mattress will actually form to your body.

Drink plenty of water. Water will cleanse your bodily system of toxins and impurities. You should be drinking 8 to 10 glasses of water per day.

  • Make sure to check your cholesterol bi-annually.
  • Choose natural spring water or distilled water instead of tap water.
  • Don't assume that others will accommodate you and your physical condition.
