Things You'll Need:
- Proper socks
- Aerobic shoes
- Foot measure
-
Step 1
Select footwear designed for aerobics. The right sneakers are important to avoid injuries and have a successful workout. Choose footwear with adequate padding and absorption to accommodate pressure.
-
Step 2
Find aerobic footwear that has good stability. A thick upper strap will offer protection of the forefoot. Aerobics can exert a forceful impact on the bones of the feet and you want added support.
-
Step 3
Choose footwear that has a good arch design. Aerobics relies on a number of side step actions, and the right shoes need an arch design that will counteract these movements. Visit TeachFitness.com for shoe reviews and tips from aerobics instructors (see Resources below).
-
Step 4
Insist on a proper fit for your aerobic footwear. Have sufficient room for your toes and nails so they don't cramp. Select a design that has sufficient side support and soles that allow the rotation of an aerobics arrangement. Buy shoes late in the day because your feet tend to puff up a bit at that time.
-
Step 5
Pick aerobic footwear with a combination of features that provide comfort and support. Think about sneakers that have a soft, leather upper and a terry cloth (or similar lining) for moisture absorption. Select sneakers with a foam cushion insole for protection. The soles should be high-abrasion rubber for added traction and durability.
