How to Select a Confirmation Party Banner

A banner is a statement. It declares its message loudly and proudly to the entire party--or the entire neighborhood, depending on where you hang it. Therefore, when selecting a confirmation party banner, you have to make sure that it says just the right thing.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Tape
  • Hole punch
  • Two metal hooks
  • Banner paper
  • String

Select an Appropriate Confirmation Party Banner

Step1
Choose graphics for the banner. A cross, a Bible and a dove are all very good, symbolic graphic choices.
Step2
Select a banner size based on where you want to hang it. You can create a smaller one and tape it to the wall, or you can purchase a larger banner if you're hanging it outside the front of a house or banquet hall. Outdoor banners help guests to recognize the place as they arrive.
Step3
Decide if you want to design the banner yourself or buy it premade.
Step4
Have the banner personalized with your confirmand's name and perhaps the date if you buy it premade.
Step5
Select a Bible verse to have printed on the banner. Choose a verse that fits with the confirmation theme of spiritual growth and maturity, such as I Corinthians 13:11.
Step6
Design a banner on your computer fairly easily using most publishing programs. However, printing it out often involves taping regular-sized sheets of paper together. This can be tiresome and look tacky. You might try saving the design to a disc and taking it to a professional printing store. They should be able to print the banner for you on good-looking banner paper, fairly cheaply.
Step7
Mount the banner: punch holes in the top corners on either side of the banner and hang it from metal hooks with string. Alternately, you can tape a lightweight banner to the wall.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep in mind that this is a religious celebration, and your confirmation party banner should reflect the reverence of the occasion.
  • Be sure to have strong and durable mounting materials for your banner. Otherwise, it may fall down in the middle of the party.
