One day, I looked throughout my kitchen cabinets to find out that they were bare. I went to the convenience store next to my house and bought a few items including a box of spaghetti, a can of Cream of Mushroom soup, and a can of Cream of chicken soup. I went home and came up with a simple spaghetti alfredo recipe.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 Box of Spaghetti
  • 1 Can of Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 1 Can of Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1 Large Tomato
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • Two Garlic Cloves
  • Any Hard Pasta Cheese (Romano, Parmasean, etc.)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Medium Celery Stalk
  • Butter
  1. Step 1

First, boil water for the spaghetti in a pot. Add salt to taste.

  2. Step 2

Secondly, dice the onion and the tomato into small pieces. Take a skillet and melt some butter. Dice the garlic cloves into small pieces. Saute the onions until they reach a nice golden color. Now add the garlic.

  3. Step 3

By now, the spaghetti should be almost done if not done. When it is done, drain all the excess water and put the spaghetti back in the pot but not on a flame. Toss the tomato into the skillet with the onions and garlic and let it simmer for a few minutes while you dice up the celery. Once the celery is diced, toss it into the onion mixture. Stir it high heat for about 2 minutes then reduce the heat.

  4. Step 4

Add a few pinches of salt and pepper to the onion mixture. Now open both cans of soup that you have and pour them both into the mixture in the skillet. Raise the heat to about medium and stir. Now grate, if it isn't already, the cheese into the skillet. You're going to need about a cup and a half. Mix it all very well. Taste to see of it needs any more salt or pepper.

  5. Step 5

This is where it gets interesting. Turn the heat on under the pot with the spaghetti. Pour about half of the Alfredo sauce mixture into the pot and stir so that it coates each strand of spaghetti. Turn the heat off both the pot and skillet and let them sit for a moment.

  6. Step 6

Now, you can either serve the pasta with the sauce on top or serve it with the sauce on the side. It's all up to you.

    Enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • This recipe came to me by trying new things. Don't be afraid o experimemt with the recipe.
  • Try adding vinegar to the boiling water instead of salt for flavor.
  • Don't add too much salt to the boiling water or your spaghetti will be too salty.
