How to locate your child's school of residence

School of residence = closet school for your child to go to. This guide will show you where the closet school for your child to attend will be.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pen
  • paper
  • phone
  • a method of transportation
  • internet (optional)
Step1
Look in the phone book for all the school districts in your areas for your child/ren's age(s). Gather the phone numbers, websites, and addresses for the main site (Headquarters).
Step2
(optional) Look at each website and look up as much information as you can about each school. This includes test scores, suspension rates, extracurricular activities etc.
Step3
Call the main sites and ask for paperwork of each school your child can go to. It may take a while to sort through who you have to talk to but it will be rewarding.
Step4
(Optional) If you are having difficulty with the previous step, then you MUST go to the main sites and have someone talk to you in person. Usually the department is titled somewhere around 'student and parent services'
Step5
After gathering all the information. Decide on what school(s) your child(ren) will attend.
Step6
Go to the School(s) of choice and follow their process(es) of enrollment.

  • School websites are key to understanding the thought process of the administration and how difficult it will be in getting tasks finished in your favor.
  • Never show adittude towards any school district employee.
  • never threaten school district employees
