Do you have wireless internet? Do you want to have absolutely no one on it but you or a friend? If so, I can show you what to do about it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Wireless Internet Provider
  • Modem
Step1
Ok, so you have wireless internet. But you have one big problem. Anyone who comes within the range of it can use it. That is not good. So here is how you would prevent them from doing such a thing.
Step2
First step is to examine your internet modem. What model is it? What company is it from and so on. Then you need to get on your computer. When you got your modem or wireless internet it came with a program to set up. If it did not then I am sure you have no wireless internet. This program is the one you need to find. Once you open it, look around it. Try and find something that has to do with a password.
Step3
Once you have found it, set up a password. Then whenever someone needs to use your internet they need the correct password. However, if your internet does not have a password setting then there are a few things you could to. One: You can call your internet provider. Two: You can change the range of your internet signal. You would do this by going into the range part and changing it to the desired setting.
Step4
That is how to restrict the wireless access.

Tips & Warnings

  • Only let friends have the password.
  • DO NOT MESS WITH MANUFACTURING SETTINGS UNLESS TOLD TO!!!!!!
