How to take a screen shot on your computer

Paint works just fine!

Scratching your head when somebody asks you to take a screen shot of something? Here's a very easy guide on taking a screen shot using Paint!

Things You'll Need

• A computer
• A keyboard
• Paint

Instructions

1. Navigate to the thing you want to take a screen shot of and display it on your monitor.

2. Press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. Nothing will probably happen, but don't worry, that's normal!

3. On Windows, click "Start" then go to "All Programs", navigate to "Accessories" and open "Paint."

4. Go up to "edit" and click "paste" to paste your screen shot.

5. Go up to "file" then "save as." Saving a picture as a .jpg can keep the image clear and making sure the file is small enough to attach to an e-mail, print, etc.

Tips & Warnings

• Saving a file as a .jpg can save space on your computer as well as make the picture file size manageable.

• You can even use Paint to circle things you want your friends to see, add text to your picture or even invert the colors by going to "image" then "invert colors."
