Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Fill out the volunteer form on the Democratic Party website. The form asks for your contact information and what you would be interested in doing as a volunteer. After you fill out the form, it should go to a local organizer or your state Democratic Party office where someone will contact you.

  2. Step 2

Contact your local Democratic Party office. It is likely that your local party offices will need volunteers. The best place to get started as a volunteer is on a grassroots level.

  3. Step 3

Attend meetings and fundraisers. Another good way to get involved and find volunteer opportunities is through networking. You can get information on volunteer opportunities at meetings and fundraisers and support your party by simply being in attendance.

  4. Step 4

Use your skills to help out locally. If you are experienced with computers and web design, offer your services to improve your local Democratic Party office's website.

  5. Step 5

Support a local or national Democratic candidate. Candidates are always looking for volunteers to help on the campaign trail doing everything from organizing to passing out buttons. This is a good way to get started supporting the Democratic Party.

Tips & Warnings
  • Volunteer your time regardless of how little you may able to help. Simply helping for a few hours one time can really help your local Democratic Party.
