Visit the Democratic Party’s official website to gain a general understanding of where the party stands on the important issues facing America today. You can sign up for the email list on the website to get updates sent directly to your in box.

Look for the official website for your state’s Democratic Party to find out about the issues that local Democrats are concerned about that will directly affect you.
Step3
Engage registered voters in political conversations, and ask them to explain their views concerning the politics put forth by Democrats.
Step4
Watch political news programs to get an idea of how analysts are interpreting Democratic issues. Most of the major networks air these programs on Sunday mornings, while the cable news networks tend to air them consistently throughout the week. These programs are also a great source for interviews with Democratic officials and politicians.
Step5
Register to vote and get a copy of the current voter's guide for the upcoming election. This guide will be sent to the address you registered under, and is also available through your local elections office or the local DMV office. The guide will give you a detailed breakdown of the issues that will appear on the upcoming ballot and also inform you about the viewpoints of the Democratic candidates.
