If you have recently retired, you may wish to find a volunteering opportunity to keep you busy. Many non-profit organizations are in desperate need of volunteers and will greatly appreciate your help. Read on to learn how to find senior volunteering opportunities.

    Check with local hospitals. Hospitals offer a diverse selection of volunteer opportunities that allow you to work with patients or help with administrative work.

    Volunteer for a children's program at the library. You can play grandmother to a group of kids that will enjoy your storytelling capabilities.

    Visit a nursing home. The older patients will appreciate a visit from a volunteer that is closer to their age and can provide shared experiences.
