When your email address changes you will want to update your Eudora email account as quickly as possible so that you do not miss any important emails. Fortunately, changing your address is easy and only takes a few moments to do. Read on to learn how to change your Eudora email address.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Gather information on your new email address from your email service provider. You will need your outgoing mail server and your incoming mail server. If you have changed your email address but kept the same email service provider, this information will stay the same.
Step2
Open Eudora and go the "Tools" menu. From the "Tools" menu select "Options."
Step3
Chose "Getting Started" to begin changing your information to match your new email address.
Step4
Delete your old email address from the "Email Address" field and replace it with your new email address.
Step5
Place your incoming mail server in the "Mail Server (Incoming)" field and your outgoing mail server in the "SMTP Server (Outgoing)" field. You do not need to do this if you have not changed your email service provider. If you have changed your service provider and you do not know your incoming and outgoing mail servers, call your provider's technical support line or visit their website.
Step6
Look at your user name in the "User Name" field to see if it remains the same.
Step7
Check your email to ensure everything works. Eudora will prompt you for your email password. If this changed along with your email address, delete the current password and replace it with your new one.
