A weekend party hosted by your sorority can either make or break its reputation. An entire weekend is a lot to commit to, but it can be done successfully if thought and planning are part of the equation.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check with your sorority's treasurer to develop a budget. Make sure to budget for each category where money will be spent. You will need to plan for cost of locations for the party, food and beverage cost, invitations, decorations, and any other miscellaneous items the group wants to add.

  2. Step 2

Assign someone the task of finding the locations for party events. You can have the party at the sorority house the entire weekend, or you may choose to have it at different locations. This person needs to call up possible party spots and ask about availability, cost, rules and clean-up. After generating a list of places that fit the budget and are available, the sorority needs to vote.

  3. Step 3

Assign someone to the role of researching fun themes for the party. If a popular event is taking place, like Spring Break, you may want to center the theme on that event.

  4. Step 4

Charge a group with the task finding fun games to play throughout the weekend. Using the internet is a wonderful way to find new and interesting game ideas. See if the games for the sorority weekend party can be incorporated with the theme.

  5. Step 5

Give a group the task of purchasing and preparing the food and beverages. This could be tricky, but fast and easy finger foods seem to make the most sense. If food runs low, it needs to be easy to make more so your guest don't get disappointed.

  6. Step 6

Send out the invitations or post the event in a manner suitable for the sorority. Word of mouth usually gets around fast, so don't go overboard with your invitations.
