When time and money are limited, sending a free ecard to announce a sorority party is a great way to get the word out, while sparing precious minutes and cash. With a few simple steps, a free ecard can be delivered to everyone invited to the party.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Guest contact information
  • Party details
  1. Step 1

Try sites like Hallmark, eVite and egreetings for free cards. You will need contact information as well as party details. To create a buzz among recipients, choose a card with a theme that corresponds to the party theme. Give them as much information as possible so they know how to dress, what to bring and if they will need transportation.

  2. Step 2

Prepare a list. Gather all the email addresses you will be including in the mailing. It might be easiest to have a sister read them to you while you type them into the website. If you have time, double check that all the addresses and names are accurate to avoid having them returned to your inbox.

  3. Step 3

RSVP. If you are requiring your guests to RSVP, keep an up-to-date list of who and how many can come. EVite has a convenient tool that keeps track of this for you and also allows guests to leave comments for each other, which can really get the excitement going!

  4. Step 4

Send any last-minute invites. Chances are that you will have a few sisters who forgot about a friend or thought of someone else they want to invite. Wait until you have a handful of names, then send out one more batch of ecards.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you send out an ecard far in advance, send a follow-up card a few days before the party to remind your guests and build anticipation.
  • Remember that your guests will not be able to reply to you using a “Reply” feature, like email, since the card is being sent through a Web site.
