Jewelry parties are a great way to hang out with friends while earning free jewelry. Jewelry sales will be the purpose of the get-together, but socializing and yummy food will make the event. Whether you make the food yourself or purchase it pre-made, preparing food for a party is a key element to a great evening.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
  • Dessert
  • Finger foods
  • Punch

Step1
Make a refreshing punch for drinks. Prepare the punch the day before, and add any last minute garnishes just before the party.
Step2
Prepare healthy choices. Make a vegetable tray with carrots, broccoli, tomatoes, mushrooms and any other vegetables you like. Make or buy a dip to serve with the veggies.
Step3
Prepare finger foods. Make small sandwiches, miniature quiche, cheese sticks or jalapeno poppers. Make a bread bowl filled with spinach dip with crackers and bread for dipping.
Step4
Make a fruit salad or a fruit tray. Use seasonal fruits for the best quality and price. Splurge a little, and provide one or two fruits that are out of season such as berries in the winter or melon in the early spring.
Step5
Make a simple dessert. Make brownies or cookies. Have a fondue pot filled with melted chocolate and fruit to dip.
Step6
Prepare as much of the food as you can in advance. Put prepared food in the refrigerator and pull it out just before the guests will arrive.
Step7
Save a lot of time and energy buy purchasing pre-made party food. Many wholesale clubs and grocery clubs carry a variety of items perfect for finger foods and simple dessert.

Tips & Warnings

  • Add ice cream to punches just before serving to guests.
  • Have special foods for any guests with dietary restrictions.
  • Use paper plates, plastic forks and plastic cups for easy clean up.
  • Do not leave refrigerated foods out too long or they will spoil.
