Step 1
Figure out what type of traffic school you need. There are various kinds of traffic schools, from defensive driving to teen drivers education. Some online traffic schools only offer one type of course, so knowing what exactly you are looking for is important.
-
Step 2
Go to the self proclaimed unofficial guide to the DMV at DMV.org. While this Web site isn’t affiliated with any government agency, it does give helpful information on how to find online traffic schools in each of the 50 states.
-
Step 3
Click on the state that you live in. If you have been court ordered to take traffic school and have since moved, check to see if the course you are to take needs to be state specific. While there are online traffic schools that cater to all 50 states, it’s usually best to deal with one that specializes in your area.
-
Step 4
Read the listings of the different traffic schools in your state and chose one that fits your needs. Remember that not all online traffic schools offer every type of course, so make sure the traffic school you chose is right for you.
