Daddies love to get a special present from their little ones. Kids usually want to give dad their favorite toy. Like little Sammy who is two and tries to give Daddy his favorite toy dump truck. It is sometimes difficult to convince a child that Dad might want something a little different, but kids do know that making crafts is fun and Dad will love it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Ask the child what he has in mind for a Father's Day craft. Sometimes the kids have seen something somewhere and you can take that idea and elaborate on it. It would save time if he already has an idea.
Step2
Search online for Father's Day crafts with the child. Let the child play a role not only in making the craft, but choosing the most appealing craft to him.
Step3
Go to the library during story time and make a craft there. Many libraries have a story and craft time. During the different holiday times the libraries choose a theme related to that holiday.
Step4
Sign up for a holiday craft class at your local craft store. Most of the craft stores have crafting classes for children on Saturday mornings. Call your local craft store and ask for a schedule.
Step5
Join the child at school for the day the class makes Father's Day crafts. Get some ideas from the teacher. Usually teachers have several ideas and go with the easiest or best idea. Ask the teacher which crafts he decided not to do and do that craft with your child.
Step6
Let the child do the craft himself. Parents want to help, but let it be his craft and don't take over the project. Help a child with the Father's Day craft, but let him take ownership over it.
