Make your hair a feature and flaunt it! Work around the hair when finding an outfit. Keep in mind that simplicity in dress will make your red hair more noticeable.

Choose the dress colors you want to wear. You can go for bright vibrant colors like turquoise, yellow, orange or bright blue. Another good color to wear is white. Or you can play it safe and dress in black, dark brown, olive green or gold.

Colors to avoid are red, beige, pink and purple. These colors will wash you out.
Avoid red lipsticks; always remember that you already have an incredible feature, which is your hair!
Eye makeup is good but don't overdo it when going for the smudged look!
Avoid black eye makeup. Go for dark browns. It is slightly softer for your delicate complexion.

Thanks this helps so much. I have recently dyed my hair a bright red, but was having difficulty choosing a good make-up. I usually go for dramatic eyes. But because I had dark hair I was used to wearing black. I think I'm going to stick to browns and bronzes for sure. thanks a bunch :D

I have bleached my hair/underside of half my bangs and the sides-ear down and going to use permanent red auburn over the bleached/almost white hair can I wear- a black wrap with a grape purple dress/a little silver accents on the only arm strap with a silver necklace/earrings with black purse and hematite bracelet/gray black and black shoes? or should I go blue or purple on my hair?

i agree gingerB ORGANGE IS GROSS!! and it doesnt compliment my hair witch is a rlly dark auburn.. i go with heavy brown/black makeup and LIGHT pink lipgloss and stick to the greans/blacks/blues/whites/and greys for my clothes and i get alot of comliments. my hair is short so its hard to accessorize.. if u got short hair but no bangs.. GET BANGS! cuz it dont look good w/out them! + wear black lacy sleeves or tops at night (modestly!) it rlly compiments the hair! ggood luck!!! -canfoxesfly -

I have auburn red hair and pale skin. And I think purple looks great to compliment red hair. Also, most redheads can easily pull off red lipstick - they just have to make sure they find on that compliments their skin tone.
