The Xbox 360 lets you download and watch videos. You can also set it up to stream videos from your computer over a wireless network. Follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Purchase a wireless router. You will need this to send a wireless signal for your Xbox 360 to receive. Before you buy a router, check on Xbox.com to verify that the router is compatible. Always keep your receipt just in case you need to take the router back.
Step2
Buy a wireless adapter for the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 does not have built in wireless and requires a separate adapter for it to receive a wireless signal. You can buy Microsoft’s first party wireless adapter, which will probably be more reliable but also more expensive, or you can buy a third party adapter that connects via USB.
Step3
Download the Xbox Media software from Xbox.com. Your operating system must be Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed, Windows Media Center 2005 or Windows Vista. To find what operating system you are running, right click on your “My Computer” icon, select “Properties” and look under "system."
Step4
Install the software and choose the folders on your computer to share with the Xbox 360.
Step5
Go to the “Media” blade on the dashboard of your Xbox 360. Then choose video and then point it to your computer. If everything was configured right, you should see the media from the folders you chose to share.
Step6
Play and watch your videos on your Xbox 360.
