Things You’ll Need:
- Clean towel or absorbent paper towels
- Club soda or water
- White vinegar
- Hairdryer or wet/dry vacuum
- Pet odor neutralizer
Step1
Blot as much of the urine as possible with a clean towel or absorbent paper towels. Press down firmly (do not rub) until the wetness is removed.
Step2
Rinse the affected area thoroughly with a full glass of water or club soda.
Step3
Remove as much of the rinsing liquid as possible by blotting from the outside in so you do not spread the scent or stain.
Step4
Mix together 1 qt. of warm water with ½-cup white vinegar and pour it onto the area with cat urine.
Step5
Press a clean towel or paper towels onto the area and remove all liquid. Use a wet/dry vacuum or with a hairdryer on cool setting if necessary.
Step6
Spray a pet odor neutralizer onto the area to prevent the odor from resurfacing.
