How to Tour the Alps by Motorcycle
If you're a motorcycle buff, you and your friends can enjoy the thrill of riding your choppers up, over and around some of the highest mountains of the Alps. Planning your tour will be a snap if you follow these steps.

Locate the Edelweiss Bike Travel touring company on their Web site, or call (800) 507-4459 if you are interested in taking a tour of the Alps by motorcycle.

Pick the dates for your tour. Tours of the Alps run May through September and are eleven days long with eight days of riding. You can add on extra days for a fee.

Select the motorcycle that you would prefer riding. There are generally a few to choose from.

Give each rider's information, such as name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, number of years you've ridden a motorcycle, driver's license number and a passport number when you call to make your reservation. You can also enter this information on their Web site.

Place a deposit down for each rider by credit card and confirm the dates of your tour.

Make arrangements to get to Munich. Your tour will begin and end here. Flight costs are not part of the tour package.

Visit areas of Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Austria before making your way back to Germany. Plan to stay an extra day or two and enjoy all Munich has to offer.

You will need to know how to operate a motorcycle. This ride is for those with experience in all weather riding only.
You will need to be able to ride for long periods of time. Daily rides are up to 180 miles.
