San Antonio is a wonderful place for fans of the paranormal. With San Antonio’s rich history, there are many haunted hotels, clubs and attractions. Follow these steps on your next trip to this Texas town and then prepare to have your socks scared off!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Book your accommodations. Many local hotels experience hauntings on regular occasions. The Camberly Gunter hotel has a female ghost who was murdered in her room. The room was covered in blood but her body was never found. She is often seen roaming the halls. The Menger Hotel and Plaza Marriot have also recorded paranormal activity. A female ghost believed to be a woman who hung herself in one of the buildings has been seen walking the halls in a white dress stroking her cat. Lights go flicker for no reason and the drawers of the front desk open by themselves. The St. Anthony Hotel is haunted by everyone from an ex-employee named Anita to a once-honeymooning couple. The Emily Morgan Hotel has doors open and close by themselves, things fall of tables for no reason and a rogue elevator that opens and closes its door as it pleases. Stay at any of these hotels and you're in for a fright.
Step2
Visit historic sites. The Alamo has reports of a small girl appearing in the theater's projection as well as unexplainable "cold spots." Those visiting the Blackenridge Villa Mansion report seeing figures in the windows at night even though the mansion is no longer inhabited. People have seen ghosts of the men stationed at the Comanche Look-Out Hill. Fort Sam Houston often has unnatural loud sounds at night and there is still no explanation for a light that stays on in the building despite a lack of electricity.
Step3
Drive to the cemeteries in the area. San Antonio has many cemeteries inhabited by ghosts. Unexplained, strange blue lights shine on certain graves at the Stinson Field Cemetery. According to local legends, voices and apparitions suddenly surround you if you pull into the Chinese Graveyard and flash your lights five times.
Step4
Travel to the malls. It might sound like an odd place for paranormal activity, but the malls in San Antonio are haunted. At the North Star Mall, people have seen shadows that walk by and say your name. The River Center Mall has reports of a ghost who walks around and tries to talk with other shoppers.
Step5
Visit the Alamodome where a ghoulish woman wanders around the parking lot. There is also a past worker who haunts the halls. He fell to his death inside the dome while it was being built. These sightings along with unexplained moans, cries, screams and shadows give any ghost hunter a reason to drop by.

Tips & Warnings

  • Ask the front desk clerk at your hotel about other haunted places in the area.
