All toon characters in Disney's Toontown Online have two gag types available at the beginning of the game: throw and squirt. As you continue through the game and gain experience with these gags you will be given stronger gags of the same type. However, to get access to a new gag type you must go through training. Follow these steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Internet access
  • Toontown Online Account
  1. Step 1

Go into any "Toon Headquarters" after completing the "toontorial." Toon Headquarters (HQ) are the red brick buildings located in all neighborhoods and on all streets in Disney's Toontown Online.

  2. Step 2

Talk to a HQ non-playable character (NPC) toon behind the desk. The toon will offer you a toon task requiring you to visit Flippy in the Toon Hall. The reward listed will be new gag training.

  3. Step 3

Go to Toon Hall in the Toontown Central playground and talk to Flippy. Flippy will tell you to defeat four cogs. You can defeat any four cogs on any street in Toontown Central to complete this task.

  4. Step 4

Return to Flippy and turn in your toon task. Flippy will then ask you to defeat either four bossbots, cashbots, lawbots or sellbots. Pay attention to the cog type and defeat four of the appropriate bots.

  5. Step 5

Return to Flippy to finish the task. Flippy will tell you to visit either Librarian Larry, Franz Neckvein or Honey Haha. Pay attention to the location he gives you for these NPC toons.

  6. Step 6

Talk to the appropriate toon who will offer you a choice in gag training. You will be able to choose between sound or toon-up gags. Sound will damage all cogs in a battle. Toon-up will restore laff points to fellow toons in a battle.

  7. Step 7

Get a new toon task that offers gag training rewards to start your training. Complete all the gag training tasks and you will have access to the first gag of your new gag type.

Tips & Warnings
  • Plan ahead. Your toon can only have access to six of the seven gag types.
  • New gag training is available as your story line enters new neighborhoods.
  • The "schticker book" will track your progress.

on 8/6/2009 I'll explain what the gags are and when you get them--Toontown has seven different types of 'gags' that use in Cog battles: THROW gags (pie, cake, etc) SQUIRT (seltzer, firehose), SOUND (whistle, trumpet), LURE (magnets, fishing rods--these draw the Cogs closer making the gags hit harder, and they also freeze the Cogs for several rounds making them unable to attack), TRAP (banana peel, trap door--these can only be used along with Lure gags), DROP (safe, piano), and TOON UP (tickle feather, juggling--these are used to make your fellow toons happy, thus healing them). You start out with Throw gags and Squirt gags, and then you get to choose a new type of gag very early on, with Sound and Toonup being your choices. After you complete all of your tasks in Mickey's Toontown, you move on to Donald's Dock where you get to decide on your fourth gag track, with the choices being Lure and D...
