Enhance a block party by providing more than just food and drink. Select fun games to entertain both kids and adults. Some games are perfect for both the younger and older generations, and participants will get to know each other better as they connect through a variety of fun games.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Select Block Party Games for Kids

Step1
Have kids participate in a balloon toss. Fill balloons with water and toss them to your teammate. Increase the distance after each throw. Eventually, someone is going to end up all wet!
Step2
Rent a dunk tank. Adults can sit atop the chair inside the dunk tank and kids will have lots of fun trying to dunk them. Kids throw balls at the target, which, when hit, will release the chair and dunk whomever sits inside.
Step3
Buy sidewalk chalk. Kids can use the chalk to play Hangman or Hopscotch.
Step4
Set up a miniature skate park. Let kids bring their own skateboards and make homemade ramps for them to ride down. Be sure to insist on helmets and kneepads.
Step5
Select a bounce house from a party rental company. These inflated houses are similar to trampolines except that they are completely enclosed and padded to prevent injury.

Select Block Party Games for Adults

Step1
Build a dance floor. Adults can have dance competitions, and dancers can be hired to give lessons in styles such as square or country line dancing.
Step2
Set the music for Limbo. This game consists of walking under a rope as it is lowered after each turn. Participants can go under the rope simultaneously or individually.
Step3
Compete in karaoke. After a few beers, people begin to lose their inhibition and a sing-along or singing competition can be hilarious fun!
Step4
Arrange a game of croquet on your front lawn. Croquet sets are pretty affordable if you need to purchase one. Otherwise, you may be able to find a neighbor who already owns one.
Step5
Invent your own games. You could try "Name that Neighbor." This game could consist of charades-like imitations of various notable neighbors.
