1
Be punctual. Even if all your guests are late, the host should be in place and ready for guests at the designated time.
-
2
Dress appropriately for the occasion. Just because your day was long and you are tired, doesn't mean that you can slack off on your attire. Especially when you've designated a dress code, you should rise to the occasion yourself.
-
-
3
Spend time with each of your guests even if it is for a short time. Guests appreciate the personal touch and like to be recognized for their effort in attending your casino night.
-
4
See that your guests have enough food and drink, regardless if you've hired a caterer. There is nothing worse than empty pans mocking hungry guests.
-
5
Check bathrooms often to make sure that they are clean and well stocked with toilet paper and paper towels.
-
6
Know what is going on at your party at all times. Make your rounds every half hour or so to make sure all is well.
-
7
Take a crack at all the casino games to encourage your guests to give them a try. Sometimes it takes one person to get the ball rolling, and often the best person to do this is the host.
-
8
Try to create a conversation flow by introducing guests to one another. It is hard for some people to break the ice, so a good host will initiate dialogue.
-
9
Arrange activities for children when invitations are extended to the whole family. Set up board or video games for older children and toys or coloring books for younger children.

If your party is very large, you may want to share your hosting duties with another person. This will allow you to better direct your attention to your guests and enjoy your party.
