Step1
Decide when and where to hold your slumber party so that it will be mutually convenient for all of the women you plan to invite.
Step2
Share the cost of reserving a hotel suite with your friends if you cannot provide privacy and seclusion in your own home for your slumber party. After all, you won't want your slumber party to be interrupted by requests from family members.
Step3
Send out invitations to your slumber party, providing the date, time and directions to the location, if necessary. If you send out written invitations, then your friends will know that you're serious about having a slumber party as opposed to it being a spur-of-the-moment idea.
Step4
Encourage fun pajamas to be part of the appeal of the party. The more outrageous, the better. Don't forget the funky slippers.
Step5
Rent a selection of movies. A slumber party for women is the perfect chance to revisit your favorite modern "chick flicks," as well as classic romantic movies in black and white.
Step6
Bring the spa to your slumber party. This is one time when you'll be able to walk around with a mask on your face without frightening others with your appearance. A simple rejuvenating facial mask can be made from French clay (available from health food stores), a small amount of water and a dash of ground herbs, such as mint. Alternately, warm chocolate is an excellent exfoliant and moisturizer. Many spas offer this beauty treatment, but with a big price tag.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't forget the camera! There are bound to be plenty of photo opportunities on this night. You might even want to dedicate a small photo album to this event to be shared with your friends for years to come.
  • Make sure to let family members know how to reach you in the event of an emergency. Either provide the telephone number of the home or hotel where you'll be spending the night, or carry your cell phone with you.
