Instructions

Create a Playlist to Add Music to Your Purse Party

  1. Step 1

Create a playlist that reflects both your guests and the merchandise you will be displaying. You want to create a mood for the bags, so that your friends will want to buy them.

  2. Step 2

Pick songs that play off the girls'-night-out feeling of a purse party. Find plenty of strong female artists to fill the playlist, and avoid too many depressing love songs.

  3. Step 3

Pick a variety of songs in different genres to please the widest mix of people. Be sure to include a few slower songs to play as the night winds down.

  4. Step 4

Set up a playlist on your mp3 player that will play all night. Always have at least an hour of extra music just in case the party goes long or you skip a few songs.

  5. Step 5

Consider letting your guests set the playlist by asking each of them to bring their favorite CDs. This will make your friends feel like they are at a more intimate party.

  6. Play Music at Your Purse Party

  7. Step 1

Keep the music low, so that your guests have a chance to ask questions about the purses. You want to make it easy to communicate, especially if you are in a small room that will get noisy quickly.

  8. Step 2

Keep the music centered near the food. You want people to be social, grabbing drinks and loosening up. The more fun your guests are having, the more likely they will be to buy or order a purse.

  9. Step 3

Have a backup handy in case the battery in your MP3 player dies or your CD starts skipping. While unlikely, you should always be prepared for the unexpected.

  10. Step 4

Make sure the music continues throughout the entire party. If you are start the party with music, guests will assume that the party is over when the music stops.

Tips & Warnings
  • While music makes your sales event more like a party, you don't need to go as far as hiring a DJ. Just pick a few of your favorite songs to keep the party lively.
