Step 1
Select decorations that do not overshadow the merchandise. The purses, and anything else you choose to display, should be the central focus of the party.
-
Step 2
Pick up a few matching tablecloths if you want to spruce up the table displays at all. Most likely, your consultant will bring white cloths, if any at all.
-
Step 3
Use the drink menu to add a bit of flair. Serve drinks in the proper glasses and provide fun additions like paper umbrellas or fancy swizzle sticks.
-
Step 4
Find purse-shaped candies or favor bags or purse imprinted paper plates and napkins at your local craft store to add a few fun touches to the decorations.
-
Step 5
Keep things girlie and frivolous. A purse party is a luxury for women, so keep things as flirty and feminine as possible.
-
Step 6
Decorate according to upcoming holidays and have purses on hand that match.
-
Step 1
Provide a room or space that has plenty of open space with no clutter. If you have a great patio, throw an outdoor party on a sunny weekend. Set up the purse displays at one end of the room, leaving plenty of space for people to munch on appetizers and mingle with other guests.
-
Step 2
Wait until your consultant, if you have one, sets up for the party. She will set up display racks and use any table space you provide. If this is your first party, be sure that your decorations work with her displays.
-
Step 3
Keep the food table and bar away from the purses. You don't want any accidents destroying a bag.
-
Step 4
Set up a "Purse Recycling" station with enough room for guests to empty their purses to transfer everything to the new purses. You can even have a small basket or trashcan for people to toss away the old one.
