Websites like Travelocity make it easy to book a flight—and most of the time, you know you are getting a pretty good deal. You can also use Travelocity to reserve accommodations and rent a car if you want to. Just follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Open your web browser and go to www.travelocity.com. On the left side of the home page, choose the flights tab.
Step2
Enter your origination and destination airports. Don't worry about airport codes. The site will fill them in from the city name you input, or will give you choices.
Step3
Fill in the dates you want to travel. Travelocity allows you to search either for exact flight dates, for flights within one to three days of your desired dates or for flexible dates. So select the appropriate circle for the way you want to search. Also select your desired departure times and the number of travelers from the dropdown menus.
Step4
Click “Search Flights,” and Travelocity will give you a list of flights to choose from. You can sort the flights by price or schedule. Choose the flight you want to book and move on to the payment screen.
Step5
Enter your traveler information into the required fields. Make sure you list names as they are printed on airport approved identification. Input your payment information as well.
Step6
Print your confirmation. This is the documentation you will need to check in at the airport.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want help booking a hotel, click "Search Flights + Hotel" instead of "Search Flights." Travelocity will give you a list of hotels in your destination areas that you can sort by price, ratings or Travelocity picks.
