How to Schedule a PCAT

The PCAT (Pharmacy College Admissions Test) is the official preferred test to determine admission into pharmacy school. The PCAT measures applicants' academic ability and scientific aptitude to determine their qualifications for pharmaceutical education. Scheduling a PCAT correctly is the first step in securing employment in the growing profession of pharmacy.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the official PCAT website and enter "PCAT" in the "Search Site" field. Hit "go" to begin the search. Click on "PCAT Home Page" in the search results.

    • 2

      Click on "About the PCAT."

    • 3

Select "Applying to Take the PCAT."

    • 4

Select the link for "PCAT Application" under "Applying Online."

    • 5

Log in to the site using your current User Name and Password, or, if you don't currently have a record, click on "Registration Page" to create a record. Once logged in, submit your application. Request any required transcripts and submit the $125 registration fee while logged in.

    • 6

Check the email address you provided on the "Registration Page" often after submitting your application. You will be emailed your Registration Confirmation and Admission Ticket separately.

    • 7

Access your Admission Ticket via your email approximately ten days before the PCAT test date to find the location of the test center. Print the Admission Ticket and take it with you to the test center, along with two valid, unexpired forms of identification, on the day of the PCAT.

Tips & Warnings

  • Register early, as test centers have limited seating and seats are filled on a first come, first served basis.

  • Double-check all registration deadlines on the PCAT website.

  • If you do not bring your Admission Ticket and two forms of valid identification to the PCAT test center, you will not be able to take the PCAT and fees will not be refunded.

  • If the name on your Admission Ticket does not exactly match the names on your two forms of identification, you will not be able to take the PCAT.
