A wedding can be stressful and chaotic to plan, but the music doesn't have to cause anxiety. If you want to choose wedding and reception music that will honor your parents and show them how much you appreciate them, it takes very little effort. After all, it's their day too!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Play a song for the father/daughter dance that has meaning for the father of the bride.
Step2
Choose music at the reception that suits your parents' tastes. Not all the music has to be from their generation, you can include some of their current favorites.
Step3
Find out what songs were played at your parents' and grandparents' weddings. Playing them at your reception will add sentimental value for your whole family.
Step4
Use music that your parents will recognize. A nice mushy number about wonderful mothers will probably not get your mom's ear if she's never heard it before.
Step5
Research wedding websites to find ideas for wedding music that you may not have thought of on your own.
Step6
Ask friends and family about the music they used in their weddings. Let them know your desire to honor your parents with the songs chosen and see if they have any suggestions.
Step7
Give your parents a say in the music. What better way to find out what would make them feel honored than asking them?
