Things You'll Need:
- Diapers with velcro fasteners
- Vacuum
- Pet odor remover
- Fine-toothed rake
-
Step 1
Housetrain your wallaroo if he spends time indoors. Just like a dog, you can paper train your wallaroo, or you can train him to go to the door when he needs to go out. A good housetraining book for dogs will give you some ideas, though you will have to modify them slightly for your wallaroo. Housetraining can be difficult and requires some patience!
-
Step 2
Use diapers on your wallaroo when she is inside to avoid accidents. You can use baby diapers on joeys and pull-ups on older wallaroos. Be sure to use diapers that fasten with Velcro rather than tape because tape will pull out your wallaroo’s hair.
-
Step 3
Vacuum up any accidents that happen in the house. Wallaroos’ droppings are much like sheep or rabbit droppings, so they vacuum easily.
-
Step 4
Clean the accident spot with a cleaner made specifically for pet odors if you notice any scent. You can find the best cleaners at pet stores such as PETCO or at your locally-owned pet store.
-
Step 5
Rake out your wallaroo’s pen if it is small and the droppings accumulate. If the pen is large, there is no need to clean it because the droppings will decompose quickly.
