A Debutante Ball is the formal coming of age occasion for girls. Several countries have their own variation of the Debutante Ball, but most have a core of similarities. Most Debutante Balls consist of young women in formal attire escorted by their fathers and presented to society. This is usually done through a society, and many girls come out at the same time. The affair only happens once for a young woman and should take place at an equally memorable location.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Compose a guest list and determine a head count.
Step2
Establish how formal the ball should be. Many look to the experts to get ideas on style. Experts can be found online through a search of "Debutante Ball," in magazines or books, from movies or from a family member who has experience. Victorian age films may add ideas to give the ball a British flare.
Step3
Determine a budget. This will help in narrowing the location choices.
Step4
Try to get a picture in your mind's eye of how grand you wish the ball to be. Once you have the picture write down a few key features that jump out, such as what the lighting is like, what colors are on the wall and who will provide the music.
Step5
Now that you have an idea of what you are looking for make appointments and seek out locations with your debutante. Many major hotels have ballrooms ranging in sophistication and size. Grand homes are an option. Halls and schools may also be considered.
Step6
While visiting the locations, make check marks next to the locations that match up with the image your mind has created. Take a digital camera along and snap a few pictures.
Step7
Get price quotes.
Step8
Take a quiet afternoon to go over your options and make a decision for the Debutante Ball.
