Check your local recreation and park district for classes. They are often less expensive and offer beginner through expert levels.

Buy a modern dance video that offers step-by-step instruction. You can find videos online or at your local retail store.

Hire a personal instructor if you discover that you are very passionate about modern dancing. With a personal instructor you can get the attention that is necessary to perfect your moves.

Search the Internet for local modern dance groups. Craigslist is a good Web site to search for groups in your specific area (see Resources below).
Step6
Practice on a regular basis. Some steps are trickier than others and may require extra practice.
