From Quick Guide: Father's Day Guide
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine your budget before you begin to show your dad how fiscally responsible you are.

  2. Step 2

Think about your dad. Getting a unique Father's Day gift requires a little thought so think about the things that make your dad a unique individual at work, at home and at play.

  3. Step 3

Make a list of the things your father likes and enjoys. Be specific, witty and brief. For instance, if Dad puts hot sauce on his eggs every morning for breakfast be sure to put hot sauce on your list.

  4. Step 4

Create a second list of things that you think make your father unique or things you’ve observed about him. Maybe he grows the best tomatoes in the neighborhood or he has a specific dream to travel to New Zealand someday. These are some things that make your dad unique.

  5. Step 5

Search online using keywords from your two lists. Try combining keywords from each list and put them into online search engines. You’ll start getting some really unique gift ideas without even leaving the house.

  6. Step 6

Check for books, DVDs and magazines on the subjects he enjoys.

  7. Step 7

Consider personalized gifts, unique gift certificates or gourmet food for something that he wouldn’t normally spend money on for himself.

  8. Step 8

Select a unique Father’s Day gift within your budget then spend time with your dad to really make him proud.
