Father’s Day is coming and you want to surprise Dad with a bottle of wine as unique and special as he is. Find out where to go and what to consider when selecting wine as a Father’s Day gift and you’ll be the toast of the town!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine your budget. The sky’s the limit when it comes to selecting wine, so first determine how much you want to spend to help narrow your search.

  2. Step 2

Select the type of wine based on what he usually drinks. If you know Dad loves a good chardonnay be sure to stick with that. If he enjoys merlot most of the time then begin your quest with finding a unique merlot.

  3. Step 3

Consider your father’s passions and select a wine that incorporates a little of his uniqueness into the gift. If he loves fishing then select a good wine with a fish theme. If he loves Italy, then search for Italian made wine.

  4. Step 4

Consider getting a wine made in a region that has some significance to him, perhaps made in the state or country where he was born or where he loves to visit.

  5. Step 5

Shop for a wine based on the unique criteria of your dad at local stores and supermarkets that have a good selection of wine.

  6. Step 6

Search online for unique wineries or stores where you can order your wine gift. Check online auction sites for unique wines that may be hard to find.

  7. Step 7

Pick a wine that best matches your search criteria based on your father’s likes, preferences and passions within your budget and you will have selected the perfect wine as a Father’s Day gift for your dad!
