Plan a special Father’s Day party to honor him for all he has done. Parties are always fun, but planning them takes time and preparation. Contact all the people that will be attending the party. Family and friends, together with food and music make this party an unforgettable one.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Place for party
  • Invitation list
  • Decorations
  • Cake
  • Food

Step1
Choose a place to have the party. If the party is at your house there is no reservation needed. If the party will be at a particular place, make reservations ahead of time. Many places such as private club houses are reserved several months in advance.
Step2
Contact all the people you want to attend. Inform them of the time, date and place where the party will be held. Ask them to arrive a few minutes early.
Step3
Decide what type of food you want to serve at the party. Take into consideration the number of people that will be attending the party. It may be easier to buy take out food and serve it.
Step4
Prepare or buy a special cake for your dad to have after the meal. Many grocery stores and bakeries have special Father's Day cakes and also take special orders.
Step5
Record a number of your dad’s favorite songs to play at the party. The songs may be a collection of his favorite artists or songs. Music is a great way to bring back memories.
Step6
Decorate the place where the party will be held. Hang fun decorations such as banners and balloons. If the party is going to be at his house, keep the decorations quick and easy since you will probably only have a limited time to put them up.
Step7
Plan the execution of the party. If it is at his house, someone will need to get him out of the house if this is going to be a surprise party. If it is going to be at a specific place, find out what time you can start decorating there and have an excuse prepared to get your dad to go there without arousing suspicion.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always be willing to ask for help. It will be easier and less stressful if you are not the only one planning this.
  • To prevent hurt feelings always double check your list to make sure everyone has been invited.
