Do you have a hard time making friends? It sometimes can be difficult, but this is not a skill that we cannot improve. In fact, once you start making friends, it actually is addictive and a lot of fun. The key thing to making friends is being a friend yourself and being genuine. Remember, the more practice you get, the better you become.

I have a hard time following up after the initial meeting. I always think that I'll call and they'll say "Oh. It's you... Yeah, I'm busy. I'll call you when I'm not." And then they'll never call. But that's not how it goes! I call and they say "Oh! It's you! I'm so glad you called! I'd love to hang out! What are you doing tomorrow night?" Then we go out and have a great time! The biggest thing is you have to know that you're a wonderful person and people do want to be your friend. Show them who you are and they'll want to get to know you. If anyone responds by being mean, just brush it off and be glad that you get to choose not to be that bitter person's friend! Then get out there and make a new friend!
