How to Get Rid of Man Boobs

Unless a man is purposely going for a sex change, men do not want "man boobs" and even feel embarrassed at the mention of the words if they have them. Man boobs occur for two main reasons. One reason is due to a medical condition called “gynecomastia,” in which the body produces more estrogen and less testosterone than normal. The second and more common reason is due to being overweight.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet or diet books
  • Doctor, if needed
  • Healthy food
  • Exercise equipment, if needed
  1. Step 1

Determine the reason you have man boobs. If they have been developing slowly as you have been gaining more weight and exercising less, then it is most likely due to being overweight, so move on to the rest of the steps. If they have come on more rapidly, it could be due to gynecomastia as a result of a medicine or some other reason. If you suspect a medical reason at all, seek medical advice and treatment from a doctor.

  2. Step 2

Eat more healthy foods and a lot less junky ones. There are many diets out there and a massive amount of information on eating right. It can be overwhelming, but either follow one of the diets that have been around longer or educate yourself on what kinds of nutritional things you should be looking for.

  3. Step 3

Find cardiovascular exercises to do regularly. Anything like jogging, walking, using ellipticals or treadmills or anything else that will give you a good cardio workout will work just fine.

  4. Step 4

Strength-train your pectorals. You can do butterflies with dumbbells, bench presses and inclines with a bar and push-ups. These will not get rid of the man boobs by themselves, but combined with proper eating and cardio work, they will speed up the process of getting rid of the man boobs and replacing them with some solid pectorals.

  5. Step 5

Follow these steps consistently, and you will be rid of man boobs for good. Any time you decide to stop eating healthy or exercising, you will always risk bringing them back. Like it or not, being healthy and staying in shape is a lifestyle, not just a phase.

Tips & Warnings
  • There are debates out there about whether you can spot-train your pectorals and man boobs to get rid of them. The bottom line is that you cannot control where your fat ends up, so you need to work out your whole body, not just the chest. Who ever heard of an overweight person with rock-hard abs? It is the same principle.
  • Always be careful when starting to exercise after you have not exercised in a while. Start slow and do not work yourself too hard at the beginning, even if you used to be an avid athlete. You may even want to consult your doctor for the right exercises for your body.

on 6/30/2009 If you’re over the age of 30 and you’re starting to notice your man boobs getting bigger it might be time to adjust your diet.

If you are someone that does not like exercise, it is best to go to chestfxstore at http://www.chestfxstore.com where you can buy a type of "power shirt" that makes you look flat chested when you have your clothes on.

I bought one of these and they work great and my nipples don't stick out when I am wearing t shirts.
